The project
Gameplay, touch controls and KAMI 2’s puzzle creator.
I brought KAMI’s colour-changing puzzle concept to State of Play, where Luke Whittaker shaped its paper aesthetic. I programmed and designed across both games, and built KAMI 2’s puzzle creator and publishing pipeline.
The goal is to turn the whole page one colour in as few moves as possible. Clear touch controls and unfolding paper make each move easy to follow.
Two released puzzle games and a community puzzle platform.
01 / Process
From player to puzzle maker
I built KAMI 2’s touch-based puzzle editor and the systems for validating, storing and sharing player creations, including database design and AWS services. I continued supporting the live content pipeline after release.
02 / Process
Paper and pacing
Paper animation makes each move readable; puzzle order introduces new ideas. I explore that relationship in “Games are a conversation.”
